Award-winning author Lawrence P. Gooley will present "Bullets, Booze, Bootleggers, and Beer: The Story of Prohibition in Northern New York," a PowerPoint presentation in which he will discuss North Country bootlegging, line houses, and other topics related to the Prohibition era. The presentation is based on based on Gooley's book, Bullets, Booze, Bootleggers, and Beer: The Story of Prohibition in Northern New York, Volume 1. Following the presentation, the author will be available for questions and discussion, and his books will be available for signing and sale. This event is part of the Wilmington Historical Society's 2023 Summer Speakers Series, made possible, in part, by the Essex County Arts Council's Cultural Assistance Program Grant with funding provided by Essex County.
